Fairways Golf Course Description
Boracay, voted the Best Overall Island in 2012 by Travel + Leisure Magazine, also holds a world-class golf course on the island. This course is known as Fairways and Bluewater Resort. It was established in 1997, and is been a great place to host International golf competitions because it offers the balance of golf plus sun and relaxation. Some of these competitions include Johnie Walker Tour and Asia Golf Tour.
The long 18-hole round was designed by famous Australian golfer, Graham Marsh. Its first nine contain flat terrains and lots of water hazards, while its last nine contains many hills, but with less hazards. The exciting round has breathtaking views of beach waters and clear white sands, where golfers can enjoy these beautiful scenery as they play at the course.
Since it is a resort as well as a golf facility, Fairways and Bluewater provides an amazing amount of activities for the entire family to partake in. Some of these fun activities are scuba diving, parasailing, and the fun banana boat. Aside from that, there are tee houses, massage rooms, and swimming pool, where golfers can spend their leisure time after the game.
Fairways and Bluewater Resort is a private course, so only members are allowed to play at the course and access its facilities. Visitors, who came from NAIA and want to go to the course, can choose a flight from either Kalibo or Caticlan. However the latter destination is more convenient than the other as it will save you a 2 hour bus/van ride. After the bus/van ride you will then take a 15 minute boat ride to the main part of the island. Then you will need to arrange pick up via motor land transportation to get to your hotel. Please contact us with questions regarding this course or a tee time reservation.
