Legendary Miñoza Wins ICTSI Wack Wack

Veteran golfer Frankie Miñoza recently won the tough ICTSI Wack Wack Championship in an exciting second round playoff hole last November 25, 2011. Literally coming out of nowhere, the champion shot-maker from Bukidnon came in his best form, besting the likes of Davao local Rufino Bayron and ruthless Elmer Saban.

The ICTSI Wack Wack Championship proved to be a sought-off venue for golf talents, where players of all ages and caliber showed up to test their mettle for the whopping cash price of P450,000. Aside from Miñoza, Bayron and Saban for the second playoff round, scores of talents such as Ferdie Aunzo (who had the lead before falling to the winds and dire pressure of the course), Angelo Que, the young golf talent Miguel Tabuena, Tony Lascuna, Anthony Fernando, stellar Artemio Murakami, hotshot Jhonnel Ababa and Michael Bibat and others too many to mention gathered for an awesome showdown.

Miñoza pulled out all the stops, letting his age of 51 not be a factor from playing among youngsters. His experience – and intimidating presence – pushed things to a shove, when needed. The win would count as the second tough one in Wack Wack for Miñoza, having had won the Philippine Open crown in the said course last 2007.
