Rancho Palos Verdes Golf Course Description

Situated in the Durian Capital of the Philippines, Davao City, is the Rancho Palos Verdes Golf and Residential Estates. The 18-hole championship golf course is known to be one of the most beautiful and challenging golf courses in the Philippines. The island greens, various types of hill slopes, and the Bermuda-grassed fairways are few, of what makes the golf course attractive. There are several challenges that makes the course challenging. Such challenges are; traditional dye pot bunkers, water hazards, and subtle breaks of Tifdwarf greens. It also includes an over 250 feet of elevation changes to the challenges. All these awaits the players in this 7,039 yard all-weather golf course.

Despite of the challenges posed by the club, the golf course which is in a 71- hectare land of elevated and rolling terrain is specifically built to be in harmony with nature. The players may also enjoy the game by the overlooking view that the Rancho Palos Verdes Golf and Residential Estates offers. These views includes the vast banana plantation along the banks of Davao River. It also includes the views of the tropical rainforest that traverses the first four holes of the course, coupled with a crocodile lagoon, a bird sanctuary, and the view of Mt. Talomo.

This challenging but beautiful course is designed by the legendary golf course architect Andy Dye. The course has four sets of tees. Gold that has 7,039 yards, Blue that has 6,450 yards, White which has 5,859 yards and Red that has 5,098 yards. These different tees offers various levels of difficulty to challenge the golfers’ accuracy, skills, and boldness in the classic “high-risk-high-reward-golf”. These attractions and challenges makes Rancho Palos Verdes a truly exceptional golf experience.

Rancho Palos Verdes Golf & Residential Estates have several amenities to accommodate the players’ further needs. These facilities includes; a full service restaurant, golfer’s lounge and bar, male and female lockers, showers, sauna, jacuzzi, massage room and pro shop. The other facilities include a driving range, practice putting greens and tee houses on the fairways. The golf club is 13 kilometres away from the downtown Davao City. To get there, there are daily flights from Manila that take one hour and 45 minutes flying time.
