Doña Pepita Golf Course Description

In the province that houses the volcano with the perfect cone shape, Mayon Volcano in Albay, lies the Doña Pepita Golf Course. It is also known as the Doña Pepita Eco Park and Golf Course. The golf club is a Par 72, 18-hole golf course that offers great views of the world famous Mayon Volcano and the Albay Gulf.

The club is formerly known as the Mayon Imperial Golf Club. The course was greatly affected by major eruptions of the volcano. However, the members of the Legazpi City Golf Club are exerting their efforts to at least make the course playable. Carabao grass covers the fairways and greens. Bunkers are filled with “lava” sand except for the hole numbers 2 and 3 which have white sand. The features of the course recommends the players to bring extra golf balls.

Doña Pepita Golf Course have facilities for the players’ needs. These facilities are driving range, store and restaurant. There several accommodations available nearby the area. These accommodations include Alicia Hotel, Casa Blanca Hotel, Hotel Saint Ellis, Pinehurst Suites and The Oriental Hotel Legazpi. The gof club is a 20-minute or about 12-km drive away from the downtown Legazpi City to the golf course. To get there it will take one hour flight or about 10-hour drive from Manila to Legazpi City. Local airlines have daily Manila-Legazpi-Manila flights. From the city take the Tiwi Coastal Road and turn left towards the golf course.
