AngTay Golf Course Description

Located in the City of Gentle People of Dumaguete, strategically lies the AngTay Golf & Country Club and Driving Range. This course is a Par 36, 9-hole, well-maintained Parkland type of golf course. It is a 21-hectare land that is one of the best courses to play at, especially if the player wants to practice and perfect their golf swings while enjoying the scenic views.

AngTay Golf & Country Club and Driving Range have several challenges to pose in its course. These challenges consist of its fair share of narrow fairways guarded by mahogany trees on both sides. These challenges also include green side bunkers. Water hazards and some creeks with some elevated and rolling greens are few of the major challenges posed by the club. Example of these challenging water hazards are holes number 5, 6, and 7. Hole number 5 is 390 yards long going to a small elevated green with a “collapsed” front plus bunkers on both side. On the green on hole number 6 a creek widens to a big pond just in front of the green. While hole number 7 has a lateral water hazard on the left hand side all the way to an island green.

The golf club have several facilities to accommodate further players’ needs. These facilities include driving range, practice putting green & bunker and tea houses. The clubhouse has a pro shop, restaurant, locker rooms, showers and function rooms. Golf lessons are also available in the club.

AngTay Golf & Country Club and Driving Range is just 10 minutes away from Dumaguete City downtown area and only five minutes away from the airport. To get there, a short drive from the airport terminal through Bacong Road, turn left entering the National Road, and left again towards the golf club. From Dumaguete City take the Jose Romero Road, turn left on Real St., then to the National Road, and turn right towards the golf club. It is about 10 to 15 minutes drive. There are also accommodations available nearby the area. These accommodations include Bahuna Resort & Spa, Hotel Essencia, Pura Beach & Dive Resort, Sea Dreams Resort, Sta. Monica Beach Club and Thalatta Resort.
