After fifteen years of going MIA, the University of the Philippines Golf Team (UP Golf) has reorganized and is all set to compete and represent the University in various golfing events and tournaments. UP is known not only to produce the brightest young minds of the country, but also torchbearers in the realm of sports. With the combined efforts from the coaches, players and various sectors in and out of the University, UP Golf has managed to rise from its extended hibernation and is now aiming to give the glory back to the sport.
Having reestablished its hold of the golfing scene in the University with a solid roster of members, UP Golf is now expanding its horizons and is joining as well as organizing tournaments and events outside the university. As of the moment, UP Golf is now pulling all the stops and is inviting golfing teams around the metro for a tournament it is setting up for the second week of November. In line with this, UP Golf is holding The Nineteenth Hole, a tournament launch party and fashion show in Amber Ultralounge on the 12th of November, 2010, Friday night. Models, including Marianna Vargas and Miggy Lim, will torch the runway with clothes from Diliman Republic, with club music provided by our very own DJ Gia.
The Nineteenth Hole is still open for sponsorships as we promise the event to be sizzling with the latest designs from Diliman Republic and the hottest young models in the fashion scene today. Not to mention, smart, dashing, young golfers will be bringing the party with them. So don’t waste your Friday night without swinging it. Let’s play the nineteenth hole.
