The Philippines experienced continuous southwest monsoon rains. 27 inches of rainfall (the average for the whole of August) had fallen in 48 hours. 1.23 million Filipinos were affected by the flood. There have been casualties and a lot of people were forced to leave their homes and move to evacuation centers, leaving most of their belongings behind. The storm hit us badly but we Filipinos are stronger. This is the time for us to unite and help those who are in need. For those who do not know how or where to help, we’ve compiled a list of Drop Off Centers where you can give your donations. Please help spread the word.
