Tabuena eyed to top ICTSI Manila Masters

Miguel Tabuena, a young 19-year-old golf legend is expected to oust competitors on the ICTSI Manila Masters tournament which started March 23 at the Eastridge Golf Club in Binangonan, Rizal.

Tabuena spearheaded his golfing career with a bang with his victory on the Splendido Classic last March 21, pulling some of the biggest local golf whizzes away from the top spot.

Having won the ICTSI Tour last year at Eastridge, Tabuena will be returning to defend his crown this time against his Splendido competitors Elmer Salvador, Antonio Lascuna, and Angelo Que. The top prize this year is at a whopping P3.5 million.

In an interview, Lascuna, the 2014 champion of the Order of Merit, praised Tabuena on his improving skills, “Miguel has been putting extremely well. Already boasting of a good swing, he has become a solid player”. Other competitors who will be joining the ICTSI tournament are Clyde Mondilla, brothers Jay and Rufino Bayron, Jhonnel Ababa, Ferdie Aunzo, and Toru Nakajima.

The ICTSI Manila Masters is sponsored by Nike Golf, Titleist, Footjoy, Custom Clubmakers, Srixonm Callaway, Sharp, and Pacsports.
