Maroon Cup: Wrapping Up

Just as in any other tournament, the UP Golf’s Maroon Cup commenced as scheduled on Monday, April 16, despite undergoing a seemingly uphill battle and being surrounded by external factors. How many would be actually playing? What was the weather going to be? Could there be a shortage of supplies? In that sense, a tournament and its turnabouts mirror a common quality with the game of golf – unpredictability.

Nevertheless, unpredictability is a tool that can measure one’s capacity to adapt, maneuver, and rise to the challenge. Therefore, we, the UP Golf Team, can proudly say two things: that the tournament did not give in to any of these factors, and that we have successfully completed another chapter in our book of tradition.
