Featured Course - Intramuros

intramuros philippines

The Golf course at Intramuros is the oldest in the country. It is built in 1907 and it is located in the heart of Manila amidst the historic walled city of Intramuros— a remnant of the country’s Spanish colonization days.

The golf course is only par -60 which means that it is not a very long course. In fact, you can finish all the 18 holes in less then 3 hours. This is perfect for the busy golf enthusiasts who only have the early morning or evening as their free time. Indeed, it is one of the first choices of golfers both locals and tourists for night golfing.

What it lacks in length, it made up in difficulty. The course is short but it is a real challenge to your precision. With almost all holes having water hazards and challenging shot angles, this is a good course to practice your short game.

It is open to the public which means no added membership fees. It has one of the most affordable green fees: P500 for locals and P1,500 for tourists. You have to reserve in advance though because there are many golfers who use the course.

If you stay in any Manila hotels such as the Diamond Hotel, Westin Philippine Plaza or Manila Diamond Hotel, you’ll find the golf course at Club Intramuros very accessible. It is near the Fort Santiago and very near Rizal Park and is right across Manila Hotel.

If you don’t have enough time to go out of the city for a round of challenging short game, Club Intramuros Golf course is your top choice.
